HTC 6900 Touch Unlocked

HTC’s first device designated as “touch”, this is a fantastic phone. It feaures the first version of the TouchFlo interface, llowing you to fingerswipe icons on a 3d cube to access your program and system settings. The phone features a microSD memory card slot, so you can use this as expanded storage for the included windows media player, or built in 2 megapixel camera. The cell phone has a 2.8 inch display screen, not the same as the new HTC HD but it’s by far big enough for this device. The HTC 6900 has a 400mhz qualcomm processor, allowing you to multi-task on the fly. For built-in storage, the htc touch 6900 has 128mb of ram and the rom is a healthy 256mb. One of the great features that TouchFlo brought to this iteration of the HTC Touch, is the new included keyboard styles. They will allow you to use your fingers easily on the screen, which is a HUGE and large improvement over the included keyboard that comes standard on Windows Mobile 6 cell phones. You can find the HTC 6900 for sale at one of the following auctions, shop and find a bargain!

HTC Touch Pro Gets New Browser

Mozilla’s beta Fennec Browser will be available mid march exclusively on HTC Touch Pro for Windows Mobile. This browser should work very well on HTC’s VGA screen, and could outperform the Touch Pro’s Opera browser that comes shipped with the phone. It will be available as a free open-source download. Previously, this browser was only available for Nokia tablets, but they are releasing it for HTC Touch Pro users as part of their mobile browser beta program.

HTC new phone models leaked for 2009

Could this be the new T-Mobile Dash, aka the HTC Excalibur phone for 2009? According to a memo that shows the roadmap for all HTC devices for the calendar year 2009, this could be the new HTC Excalibur, resembling more and more like a Blackberry type device.

This model of the phone will run Windows Mobile Standard. It will take on a tablet shape with a thumb keyboard located directly below its display. The phone will not have a touchscreen, but will include the version of Windows Mobile that is made for smartphones.

There are two other variations of this phone on the leaked list, code named HTC willow and HTC Cedar, however it is not known at this time if these two other HTC devices are a part of the HTC Excalibur or T-Mobile Dash line of phones.

Next HTC Android one upcoming for release in 2009

Two different sources claim to say that the next HTC product to come out with the Google Android Operating System (OS) will be released either in the first quarter of 2009, or in April 2009.

HTC Representatives have repeatedly said they are committed to the Android OS and having it run on several of their HTC handsets.

Thought the Android powered G1 HTC phone is only offered for sale in the US and the UK, HTC says they are on target to sell more than a million cells before the end of 2008. They have also stated that they will continue to use Windows Mobile powered devices alongside the new Android OS devices.

Another light-generating application designed for Windows Mobile powered PDA’s and smartphones. This application will require the light sensor, however, most newer HTC devices, such as the HTC Touch Pro, and HTC Touch Diamond have this. What the Lumos application does, is allow you to play with your backlight settings. This is a pretty sweet application, and will help you get the most out of your battery life while letting you control your backlight in no way possible before.

This is a free application for Windows Mobile phones with light-sensors, and you can download it here.

HTC s740 Revealed, looks Diamond like.

HTC has shown it’s new smartphone s740. The phone incorporates the new and old features of the smartphone series HTC has built, but this one takes on the looks of the Diamond, and includes the sliding out side qwerty keyboard. This keyboard is only four rows, not five as on the new Touch Pro.

This smartphone is catering to two different audiences, those that want a data device, and those who want a voice device. It is not a touchscreen phone, though the inlcuded keyboard helps enter data onto the device.

This HTC smartphone features 256mb of RAM and ROM, and a528MHZ Qualcomm processor. The phone also features a microSD card slot, that is accessible when the keyboard is slid out, and the SIM card is pulled out. That makes adding extra storage a bit of a pain, but atleast you don’t need to take the entire back off of the phone alas the Diamond and Touch Pro.

This is a quand band GSM phone with bluetooth and GPS, features an RSS reader and GPS as well. GPS can be used in conjunction with Google Maps as a navigational aid.

The back of the phone features a 3.2 MegaPixel camera, howver with this slimed down smartphone it isnt alongside an led flash this time.

Overall this is another fantastic HTC cell phone and will appeal to those looking for an HTC windows mobile device without the touchscreen.

New white version of HTC Touch Diamond out Soon

The pricing for the new version of the HTC Touch Diamond is not yet known, however it was leaked on the spanish engadget site some time ago. This version of the Touch Diamond will have all of the same and exact features of the black touch diamond, however, it’s case will be white. I don’t really see the point, as you can modify your case if you really wanted to anyway. It’s being done with computers, why not with cell phones? Anyways, take a look at your cell dealer in the coming months for the new HTC Touch Diamond in White.

New Android G1 Phone Available Unlocked

You can now get a HTC Dream G1 phone unlocked for no more than a regular non-contract phone from a regular carrier. This is great for developers of apps of this phone, or if you want the new HTC Dream wuithout a big contract. The best part is that it comes factory unlocked, which will allow you to use it with any GSM provider that you want to.

This is what is being called a developer version of the phone, however, any HTC enthusiast can get their hands on it for $399. That’s te best part of unlocked phones, picking your carrier and not being tied to one company’s preset configurations.

This phone is fully SIM unlocked and hardware unlocked, so this will allow you to flash any ROM on it that you would want. This is a great deal for 3G band customers looking for an unlocked G1.
